Chris Tiu's Oracare Ad in a Department Store

One fine day, I was walking around a department store. I passed by the dental section then WAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!! I saw this! Hahahaha!

I think I had to take a picture of the whole thing...I was just focused on this part. I wanted to take a better pic but when I went back a few days later but they removed it. Grrrr!!! Oh well at least I got this! Haha! :)

The Very First Photo...

Yeah...the very first photo of Chris that I was able to take. Uhm...actually it was my camera but it was my cousin's husband, Kuya Edwin who took it for me. Hehe! Well I think I was too short to get a good picture since there were lots of fans waiting in front of the South Gate of Araneta. And they were wearing blue, and I was wearing green. Get the picture? Haha! Haha this was one of those ADMU-DLSU games I was able to watch. I didn't want to remember because the Archers lost that game. Haha! But I had to remember because of this moment. LOL

This was the first time I saw him that close...well 1 foot away I think. Haha! But of course it was hard to approach him with all those people...and being green. LOL His father was there too...well I think he fetched Chris. I'm not sure...but my Kuya got a pic of him with his father but I'll have to dig it up first. Hihi! I even placed this in my wallet! Hahahahaha!!!!

So that was the first time...then after several years I finally got a picture with him! Hihi! *profile pic*

Everyone last Friday was talking about the boy from Baclaran! The boy named BOY CHICHA!!!! Hahaha!!! It was the best really! It was also a first for Chris Tiu to guest on a gag show! The pick-up lines he delivered were hilarious and at the same time brought giggles to the fans!

I had to wake-up early the next day...but I don't regret staying up late for it! BOY CHICHA was even a Twitter trending topic in the Philippines after the segment that night! Then when I woke-up early the next morning it was #3 in the trending topics!!! Haha!! BOY CHICHA was phenomenal!!! He is everyone's new crush! LOL

I super love Chris Tiu's new show in GMA!!! It's both educational and fun to watch! It may have clips from Japan but our local hosts do some of the experiments too on their own! Can't wait for their next experiments!!! I wanna try those on my own too! Haha! I wonder where can I get Xenon gas? LOL

Chris Tiu's Guesting in SPOON

We got too see Chris cook pizza when his guesting on SPOON was aired last Friday on Net25! From my own opinion, I like the whole interview! Well there were some details that we already knew but there were other new things revealed (as far as I know...some were really new for me). For example Chris revealed they would have at least 10 more Happy Lemon branches (please have one in MoA or Cavite! ) and that his mom knows how to play basketball too! Cute!! Also take not...the first time I saw him wear an apron! Teehee! Hihi! There were lots of other fun moments that I can't remember but I sure enjoyed the whole 60 minutes of the show! Weeeehhh!!! Here are some screencaps I took while watching. Teehee! (^_^)

Wow! I was roaming around one day in a mall near my place and look what I saw!! Hihi! I couldn't take pics of everything but I am glad I was able to take a photo of some. I was too shy to ask if they can give out the posters...teehee! I'll try to take pics of the others next time!!! Hihi! Chris Tiu is definitely EVERYWHERE now!!!! This is a scenery most unlikely seen by his fans. Of course we are used to seeing Captain Tiu wearing his basketball jersey and shooting hoops in the world of sports. Other people would be surprised to see him holding a golf club. As known by his fans, playing golf is just one of his hobbies. I only know a thing or two about golf, but as it may seem...it could be our captain's way of relaxing.

Ohhhhh that looks like a very nice watch, right? It perfectly represents Habitat for Humanity! The color alone makes you remind of the cement and blocks used for building houses. WOW!

I got my own copy of this on the plane heading back home to Manila. I'm so happy I accepted to get the newspaper from the flight attendant. I usually don't read newspapers on the plane but I somewhat realized that Chris Tiu might be in that newspaper. And then TA-DAH!!! It did not disappoint me! It even had a Sterling Bank of Asia ad of Chris. Woohoo!

Congratulations again to Sinag Pilipinas for making us proud! This is a good start for the new journey of our national team! Wishing for the best to our captain and the whole team!

Amidst the glory...our captain still has something to say about the state of Philippine sports. Hope our government officials LISTEN and PREPARE for the better next time.

Congratulations Smart Gilas!

After 9 days of continuous basketball in the 2011 Jones Cup in Taipei...our national team emerged 3rd place and I'm very proud of them. They played against lots of strong teams! They really played hard...we saw how they fared against other international teams and this paved the way for other nations to keep their guard up against our team.

From the experience they gained I truly believe this will help them in the Olympic qualifiers next month. This is just a stepping stone. They'll be able to win when it will really matter.

Lots of injuries within the tournament...hope everybody will have a nice long rest to heal.

Smart Gilas is in the Semis of Jones Cup 2011!

Our very own Smart Gilas will be in the semis and they are up against Iran tom (or rather later)...yes...Iran! The team they have beaten in their very first game of this tournament.

It may not be easy as before but I believe with all the experience they have gained I'm sure our team will be able to handle it. GO GILAS! Let's all watch and pray together!

I'm just glad they have survived the game against Japan. It almost gave me a heart attack!!!!!! I'm sure all the fans were worried also. I'm happy our captain seems fine now!

They're stronger now...even the ESPN commentator acknowledged that. They can WIN this!!!!!!

I personally tried Oracare and I sure am glad I did! Chris Tiu is such an effective endorser! Hihi! I like Oracare because as Chris Tiu said "walang sting, walang lasa...and very effective!" And it is true! I like it better than other mouthwashes. Recommended too for thos who have very sensitive teeth!

I already posted the very first billboard version of his Oracare ad before. And I remember how many attempts I did, with the help of my officemate Gaby, to get a good shot of it.

Now here is the mag version (which I saw several months after) and my officemate Ate Che gamely gave me this whole page from her magazine. Hihi! Thanks Ate Che! ^^

I'm glad Chris had another ad for Oracare's new Arctic taste. And I like this picture better than the first one. I forgot who owned the magazine, but it was my friend Emay who quickly told me about it. Then I screamed and took a pic of it. Haha! Sorry, I couldn't take a pic of it properly. Hihi! was only using my phone camera.

Gilas bowed down already to BGK after an exciting run in the PBA Commisioner's Cup 2011. They were top 2 in the elimination round and never gave in completely when BGK was about to sweep them in the semi-finals.

Game 4 was the end. 85-92. They controlled the game in the first half but it was on the 3rd quarter when everything changed. From most games I watched, the turning point is usually the 3rd qtr. Sigh.

The usual scorers were being guarded. BGK has definitely done their homework. It was still a physical and emotional game. I hope the war did not extend outside the court again.

I just can't help but be worried when I see our captain fall down on the floor. But he gets back up quickly. He wasn't able to score as much like he used to but he was able to set-up the plays that led to points, expecially that great assist that led to an Aguilar dunk! Loved it!

This is just part of the steps they are undertaking for the REAL game. Major step would be the FIBA Asia Champions Cup and then the most coveted slot in the Olympics!

They've shown so much promise during the whole conference and I'm so proud of them! From what they have shown, they'll show more promise in the future! Let's wait for more magic they'll show in the months to come. I can't wait!

Hoping I get to see some of those games live too. (T_T)

Before I close...now that our team will rest for a while, I would stop watching the PBA because I only watched the PBA because of Smart Gilas. So I would like to say good luck to both BGK and TnT. May the best team win.

On the other hand, I should now focus on updating my blog again by sharing more Chris Tiu articles and features I've collected. They're piling up and I want to share it to all ASAP.

I was supposed to post all other stuff I had to share about Chris Tiu. But I failed again. But I can't fail on sharing my thoughts for tomorrows game. It is the most crucial game so far.

I'm super happy they won last Wednesday's game just when everyone thought that BGK would win it and meet Talk n' Text in the finals already. Not yet. Smart Gilas still has some magic to show. Go Smart Gilas!!!!

I just wish and pray for a fair and injury-free game again, just like what Chris Tiu wished for. The fight in the court is too hot already that it has also extended outside the court! We know basketball is a physical game. WE know someone can get hurt but we hope it isn't something intentional. Please, no more...no more.

I don't want anyone from any team or any other people to get hurt physically and emotionally because of the game. It's not supposed to be a warzone.

And for those critics of Smart Gilas...hold your horses. The series is still not finished. I believe they'll show us what it really means to be the national team. They've shown much promise already and I know they have more to show. Playing by HEART! We are so proud of them already!

I'll be cheering again while watching on TV. I really want to witness it live. Huhu! Unfortunately I can't. Sigh.

It's a "Do-or-Die" Situation for Smart Gilas Tomorrow

I wanted to post something else...but again I had to let out what I think before tomorrow's very crucial game.

I always get nervouse while watching a basketball game. Live or not. It's not just about the PBA. Even in the UAAP and, believe me or not...even with basketball anime and dramas like Slam Dunk and Hot Shot!

Of course I believe in Smart Gilas...they've proven their worth ever since and critics should just shut up if they think they can't do it. But of course it is anyone's game. I'm not a basketball expert to actually see who will have the advantage or not tomorrow. People would say Ginebra has it. But winning 2 straight games in a series won't prove it unless it is finished. That's why we should still fight. Believe and keep the faith!!!!!

Smart Gilas...FIGHTING!!!!!

I may not be able to watch it live (again...and it makes me really sad) but I'll be watching on TV and support them with prayers.

Hoping everyone in Smart Gilas would have a great game tomorrow, especially our team captain! :)

Hahaha! This was a long long time ago...and I suddenly remembered this so I had to share it here in my blog!

This was the time when the Halikinu Radio crew and the Green Archer Radio gang joined forces for a special on NU 107! READY 2 RUMBLE! If I'm not mistaken this was before the final 4 match between DLSU and ADMU (or was it the finals? I forgot na!) and I tried sending a message again and it was read starting at 6:20. Hihi!

"I love TY and Chris Tiu! Can't wait to see the best friends battle it out again on Thursday!"

I sent another message and it was answered by Sir Rah-rah Racela. Hihi!

I used to listen to Halikinu Radio, yeah an archer snooping in the eagle's nest, hihi! Well, only because of Chris Tiu. Yeah during his rookie days I waited for so long for him to guest there. One day my wish was granted, that was Sept 2004 and since they accepted txt msgs back then, I readied some questions for Chris Tiu!

I recorded the show, but too bad I can't share it here, because I recorded it through my cassette player! Good luck if my cassette player is still functional today! Anywho I was able to make a blog post about it in a very old blog of mine.

I actually used a different username back then (zelda_overhill), which was my Hobbit name. LOL Here were my txt msgs:

"Chris Tiu, u hv bcome a hi flying eagle! Knwng dat TY Tang of dlsu is ur bst frnd, hw do u guys hndle ur frndshp amidst d hot skul rivalry bet dlsu nd admu?"

He said that they still hang-out, and sometimes may asaran, but definitely it doesn't affect teir friendship. Something like that.

My 2nd question was:

"Chris, hw do you handle the demanding priorities of being a ME student and a blue eagle? You really rock to be able to do these things! Good luck!!"

He said it was all about time management, something like that. I even failed to add being a SK Chairman in my txt msg!

You won't believe how happy I was I got an answer from Chris Tiu himself!

Amidst the happiness there was a plus! I won something from Halikinu radio, their contest for lucky texters! Hahahaha! Their prize was a Blue and White CD (ADMU cheers by famous bands)and a gift certificate for Powerstation. But I didn't dare claim it. First of all it was too far from home, and secondly, I couldn't visit the eagle's lair. Hahahaha! The ultimate prize for me was Chris Tiu's answer! Hihi!

As I went down from the 2nd floor of Mall of Asia I noticed this big tarp. I suddenly saw Chris Tiu's face...but I kind of had to take a second, longer look to confirm it was him. And it was for Greenwich...haha! The girl on the left is Anne Curtis...the one on the right...I don't remember. LOL

I wasn't just sure they used the models real bodies for the jump shot...there was something off...or maybe I'm not used on seeing Chris Tiu jump like this...other than we see in basketball. Hihi!

So I'm intrigued...what is this about? Remodeling of the store? More food? More pics of Chris Tiu in the store? Whatever it is...I got intrigued.

The funny thing is...when I tried to take a pic of it I think other people saw me and wondered why I was taking a pic of it. LOL I hurriedly went to another store to buy something. When I went back to take a another...I was sure some other people took a pic of it too. I saw something flashed. Haha!

Before I continue uploading my PBA pics (which is from one game only...but I have more to share)...I want to share this!

One fine Saturday morning, our office had a very cute visitor! Rocky, my officemate's cute doggie! Of course I noticed his jersey right away! Super cute!!!!!!! I kept trying to take a decent photo of it...but Rocky was running everywhere! But luckily I got a few good shots of it.

Thanks to Bubbles (Rocky's mama) for taking a pic of me with Rocky, and to Nina for helping me take other pics of Rocky. Hihi!

Then of course I tried sharing this to Chris Tiu himself and his reply was super cute too! Hihi! I better get one for my own dogs too! Haha!

After almost 9 months...I finally got to see Smart-Gilas play live again...and see Chris Tiu again! (^_^)

So happy that they won that night! As I type right now...their standing now is 4-0!!! Congrats to the whole team!

Well, I just saw her magazine with Neil Etheridge on the cover and saw something about the Guangzhou Asian Games on the cover. I quickly borrowed it and POOF...I saw this article and Chris Tiu! Just saw this now! Been hibernating from the net. LOL I always get left behind when it comes to Chris' TVCs. LOL To think my mom and I just ate at Greenwich a while ago! I saw their new poster for BIGATIN but I feel so stupid for not taking a pic of it. We sat far from it and there were so many people near it. Huhu! It looked like this with a different angle pose:

Fast forward to July 26, 2010. I went back to Greenwich and ordered a pizza for take-out. Hihi! Okay I just took a pic of it. I thought Chris had a different pose. I thought I saw him in a sideview pose before. Maybe I was just fooled by my eyes. I just didn't take a close-up because the light was reflecting so much on it, some crew keep going in and out of the right door and I was shy again. LOL I was kind of paranoid because I thought they saw me as a spy. Hihi!

Dream Come True...and the MVP Invitationals

Dreams do come true...you just have to wait. It indeed happened to me.

After being a fan for 7 years, and after countless times I've seen him only from afar (and cheering quietly, especially during DLSU vs. ADMU games ^_^) I finally met him! And you may understand how that felt. (*_*)

I want to give my biggest thanks to Erica for helping me out. I truly appreciate a help from a fan to a fan. (^_^)

Of course, my super duper mega thanks goes to Mr. Chris Tiu himself for being such a super nice person. He is really so appreciative. Make me so happy he appreciates this blog of mine for him. I really couldn't believe I was standing there next to him. But like he always say in his show.."Believe it, or not!" Hihi! It's no wonder he has so many admirers all over! (^_^)

I'm happy to share some photos I took while watching the first game of Smart Gilas versus Dongguan (China). This is the only game I was able to watch. Some of you have watched all games. Sigh. I almost didn't get the chance to watch even one game! Whew! Thank God! I'm still happy I got to support the team. They won in the end! \(^_^)/

I won't be able to give a more detailed review about game, because I was like (*_*). So let's just wait for the captain to share his views about this tourney on his blog. ^_^

I would like to apologize that it took a while for me to update my blog again. To make up for it...I won't further delay sharing articles about Chris featured on S Magazine last March!

Chris Tiu and the rest of SMART GILAS Team Pilipinas are now in Doha to participate in the FIBA ASIANS CHAMPIONS CUP!!! Let's all pray for them!

I would also like to extend my thanks to Ms. Cheryl Tiu for tweeting nice words to me about my blog. Aside from getting an honor of recognition from Chris Tiu himself, it is such an honor that his sister liked it as well. Would like to thank Liezaticao for tagging Ms. Cheryl. Hihi!

Check out @0.30 and @12.20 for a glimpse on the game they had against "The Game"'s team LA SLAM. I seriously don't know who he was before until Chris Tiu mentioned about him. Guess a lot of us, including Chris, doesn't know who he was.

I was hoping for more scenes of Chris, but it was still surprising for him (and for us as well) to have been seen on a Western site. Hihi!

This is a very special mag for me. It was given by my very good friend Maylene aka Doc (the same friend who gave me her Chalk mag with Chris in it, and the S Mag that she borrowed from someone). Hihi! At first she thought that I already have this, it turns out I haven't seen it before! I was so happy! I told her I was gonna pay for it, but she insisted on just giving it to me. Awwwwwww!!!! Hihi! Thanks so much to Dockie!
